Story-Fever

In the story it was about a girl who said she wasn't scared of ghosts but deep down i think she was. She was going on a field trip with her school when she suddenly fell sick she didn't tell her parents about it because she still wanted to go but she felt even worse on the bus. They were going to a old sanatorium and she was worried about sleeping in a bed where people have died in. But she wanted to milk a cow since it was turned into a farm since the sanatorium closed. She sat on a log while people were milking the cow and the teacher saw she was sick and took her back to the cabins where she slept until she woke up to a pale white girl in a white robe at the end of the bed. She  thought she was dreaming until the ghost came closer the ghost was talking to her until it was the next day when the girls mum picked her up from camp to take her home because of her fever.

For our follow up we had to make inferences like basing it off text and pictures we had to guess what we thought was going to happen here is my inferences

Communication
At the fair my group and I had good communication. During the fair when our shifts would change the next person was already at the station.When I was rostered on twice my group decided to shut down the game until the next person arrived.we made decisions by communicating with each other and respecting each others opinions.
To talk and explain helped everyone know what to do and made everything run smoothly.

How do you think your communication was at the fair?

Creativity

creativity is something we all have inside us so if your making art and you dont think you have creative ideas just know that you might fail sometimes but we all have creative ideas because one half of our brain is our imagination and in stories just let your imagination run wild so never think you dont have creative ideas because you do we all do.

Maths task

last week we were learning about 3d and 2d shapes and we were allowed to do a kahoot or a drawing or lots of other stuff just showing 3d and 2d shapes I made a kahoot but I dont know how to put it on here but it was mostly about 3d and 2d shapes like is a cube a 3d or 2d and stuff like that I really wish I could share it with you guys but sadly I dont know how to put it on my blog

Writing this week

In my writing workshops this week we have been learning about sentence structures and stuff like complex sentences and other ones. we had to make a slide showing instructions on how to do stuff properly so you had to go in detail about how you should wash your hands or tie a shoe. I chose the washing hands one if you couldn't see by my slide title but enough talking go ahead and watch the slide show.

Reading this week

This week in reading I've been learning about caritas and how it helps and last year it was helping south Sudan but this year they are helping Papua new guinea and they are providing for Papua new guinea.

Intro

So lets start from the start when school ended and we started holidays  to make it short for you I got a dog which was really cool always wanted one. Got lots of other cool stuff for Christmas too I got a inside basketball hoop which I am yet to put up but im working on it. I got heaps of chocolates but we all know it was all from grandparents but that was basically all my holidays was sitting in bed eating sweets.

In school im really looking forward to sports this year I didn't play last year but I really want to put in the work this year tho. im trying to get better at maths so Im really going to try this year.

This year im looking forward to going to high school I really want to go to st bedes because both of my brothers went so I want to carry it on.

PBL How I celebrate who I am

This term our PBL driving question is How can I celebrate who I am We are going to be learning about different cultures and learning more about were we are from. Im a NZ European this term is looking really exciting at St Francis of Assisi School find out more during the term.

Lorde is a 23 year old singer and song writer who gained lots of popularity in 2013. Lorde recalls one of the first songs she wrote was a diss track to a girl in her year at school who had taken drugs and went off the rails. All for making light of her melodramatic problems she was not happy she had given her year a bad name. Lorde went to Belmont intermediate in Auckland when she was little. Lorde has 2 sisters and 1 brother. Lorde's favourite as a kid was bread she wrote a letter and dedicated it to bread when she was six.

Recipe for welsh cakes

a few weeks ago we had to make different foods from different countries I got Wales and I decided to make welsh cakes and I made a document of the recipe and if you ever want to make them here you go

How to makes Welsh cakes

Welsh cakes are a Wales dessert there like mini cakes great for a little snack after a good feed 

Welsh cakes a wales dessert if you can't tell from the name 

Ingredients 

1 225g of self-raising flour, or 225g plain flour 

2 1 tablespoon of  baking powder.

3 1 pinch of salt.  

4  100g of butter, or margarine, 

5 50g of caster sugar, plus extra for sprinkling.

6 50g of bashed chocolate buttons into little pieces 

7 1 egg, beaten with 3 tbsp milk.

8 You can sandwich the 2 sides together with jam but you can also put something else like melted chocolate.

Method

Rub the butter into the flour to make breadcrumbs. Add the sugar, then stir in the egg. Mix, then form a ball of dough, using a splash of milk if needed.

Sport Rotations

So for the past 4 weeks we have been playing different kinds of sports every Thursday. There are 4 different rotations korfball which is like a mix of netball and basketball. Soft ball which is like cricket but not really you have to hit a ball off a tee and the fielders have gloves on and there are 3 bases you have to run past to get home and get points like baseball. We had cricket which I don't think I need to tell you the rules of cricket you probably all know. And for the last sport we had to throw little ball and complete challenges with them like if you hit the middle of the circle you get 50 points the name of the game was lawn bowls we did 8 challenges I think and my team got like 310 points but the other teams got more points then us but we came like 4th out of I don't know how many.
