How to makes Welsh cakes

Welsh cakes are a Wales dessert there like mini cakes great for a little snack after a good feed

Welsh cakes a wales dessert if you can't tell from the name

Ingredients
1 225g of self-raising flour, or 225g plain flour
2 1 tablespoon of  baking powder.
3 1 pinch of salt.
4  100g of butter, or margarine,
5 50g of caster sugar, plus extra for sprinkling.
6 50g of bashed chocolate buttons into little pieces
7 1 egg, beaten with 3 tbsp milk.
8 You can sandwich the 2 sides together with jam but you can also put something else like melted chocolate.

Method

Rub the butter into the flour to make breadcrumbs. Add the sugar, then stir in the egg. Mix, then form a ball of dough, using a splash of milk if needed.

have you ever tried welsh cakes

Sport Rotations

So for the past 4 weeks we have been playing different kinds of sports every Thursday. There are 4 different rotations korfball which is like a mix of netball and basketball. Soft ball which is like cricket but not really you have to hit a ball off a tee and the fielders have gloves on and there are 3 bases you have to run past to get home and get points like baseball. We had cricket which I don't think I need to tell you the rules of cricket you probably all know. And for the last sport we had to throw little ball and complete challenges with them like if you hit the middle of the circle you get 50 points the name of the game was lawn bowls we did 8 challenges I think and my team got like 310 points but the other teams got more points then us but we came like 4th out of I don't know how many.

Have you heard of lawn bowls before?

Top Team

last week we did 12 activities for a thing called top team there was a few challenges were you had to get wet which I didn't really enjoy but we had to do them. I did all 12 in my group. The groups we got were the camp activity groups but with people added and people changed we played a lot of games I cant remember all the names and how we played them but I do remember playing noughts and crosses my Mum hosted that one. It was surprisingly fun I enjoyed it much more then I thought I was jumping sliding throwing the crosses but I really enjoyed myself.

would you want to do the dry challenges or the wet ones?

Volunteering

Last term we had a chance of going to the curtain bank and help  fold and clean Curtains or you could have got graffiti removal and cleaned the walls in town and get rid of the graffiti or you got the food bank were u sorted out meals for the less fortunate. I got picked to go to the curtain bank were all the old curtains go that people don't want anymore. The people there clean the curtains and make them look new and sell them cheaper then they usually would cost we went there to help them clean and fold and label them for the workers so they didn't have to do so much work. There were like a thousand curtains and they ranged from big to small and we had to measure them and label them saying if it needs a wash or not.  Then we would put them in bags and pile them up and wait till there sold we didn't actually wait till it was sold but we were there for 2 or 3 hours of the day. There was a lot of standing so my legs hurt after that but I still  had a lot of fun.

Which place would you liked to have gone out of graffiti removal food bank or curtain bank?

Building Bridges

Last term we did 4 science experiments. My favourite one was building bridges. We got to make bridges out of sticks. We learnt that triangles are tougher than just making a bridge with squares on the side. When it got to making a bridge we got groups of 5's in my group I had Paige Benson Nasili and Maia. Since we knew triangles were better  we put as may triangles as possible. The items we were allowed were tape and sticks and we had a certain amount as well. Ours held up really well and it didn't break.

How would you build your bridge?

My main artifact for PBL

My group's PBL driving question was what will the future city look like in 50-100 years.  We made a little town or Little houses and thought the future city would rely on big skyscrapers and help us with moving round. We made a community park with a highway on top of it to save space. And we made a skyscraper and a little church in the back of our build and on the day my buddy set up some blocks and little people so the little kids can build their own house. But i had to watch the stand cause my buddy went off to look at the other creations but i think i did pretty well explaining it and talking about it.

How well do you think you would've gone looking after your creation?
